Extra Credit!!!!!!
Diversi-Tree Project
To promote the idea that people of different ages and nationalities can come together for the purpose of creativity and sharing, the Collaborative Arts Alliance (CAA) has created an interactive art installation, called Diversi-Tree. It is designed as a participatory art project to take place at the Aging in Place PARTNERSHIP’s annual outreach forum, “Exploring Options: A Day of Discovery,” to be held at the South Brunswick Senior Center on November 20, from 10:00 to 3:30.
Throughout that day, there will be several large wooden murals of trees from around the world, designed to accommodate leaves and other attachments created by event attendees, and students and individuals living in South Brunswick community. If your school or community group would be interested in creating your own leaf or creatures prior to the November Forum to be attached to the tree murals on November 20th, contact SPIDERMOM2@VERIZON.NET for information regarding size and materials. Work will need to be delivered to the Senior Center no later than 3:30 p.m. on November 19.
Each of the murals can stand and have a center section of 4’-0”w X 6’-0”h with a 2’-0” wide hinged panel on either side, overall dimensions are 8’-0”w x 6’-0”h. The wing panels will fold over the center section for ease in storage or transport.
In addition, we would welcome poems, stories or other written material on the theme of “Nature and the World in which We All Live” for a note book that will accompany the murals. Afterward the murals will remain on display at the senior center, schools or other local sites.
